I am very pleased to have gained the Excellence distinction from the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP)
This was achieved as 57 of my images gained 280 acceptances in International salons including 19 awards and medals.
13 photos of the Maidenhead Colts' fantastic victory in the RFU National U18s Cup Final in The Advertiser this week.
As a former Colts manager, a privilege to record this great achievement.

Double page spread of seven pictures in the Advertiser this week. The only photographer to brave the cold and wet!
Depleted Maids' team overcame the Hornets 38-21 after taking a while to gel. 31st home league victory in a row.

Three pictures used to supplement the Advertiser's own ones in their report on Maids' amazing victory over league leaders Dings Crusaders.
Fantastic defence by Maids to keep out Dings in the second half making it 29 home league victories in a row.
More can be seen on the Maids' web gallery here.
Five pictures used in the Advertiser's report on the Berkshire derby with Maidenhead visiting Bracknell.
Maids first win away on grass this season. I say grass the pitches at Bracknell haven't improved much in the 20 years I have been going there.
Closely fought and exciting match to watch with the lead changing hands twice in the last few minutes.
More can be seen on the Maids' web gallery here.
I made to trip to Newbury, particularly as the Advertiser asked for some pictures. Three used in the main report and a couple on the back page.
Unfortunately Maids away form didn't improve and Newbury ran away with it in the second half. Final score 39-15 to Newbury.
More can be seen on the Maids' web gallery here.
Very pleased to be asked to do the photography at the Victor Ceserani Tribute at the Waterside Inn.
Picture is Michel Roux and the assembled Roux graduates.
It's been a while but six of my pictures from the Lydney v Maidenhead match in the Maidenhead Advertiser. Plus one on the website in the next week's report here

Collecting more photographic letters after my name. Pleased to have received the Credit of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (CPAGB) award at the recent Croydon Adjudication.
Pass mark was 200 points and I achieved 233 across the 10 PDI entries.
Very pleased to be awarded A Royal Photographic Society Silver Medal for best action picture at the recent Southampton International Exhibition for "Get off my Shirt". Plus another 6 print acceptances at the same exhibition.

On 9th Nov I was pleased to be awarded Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society (LPRS).
My successful panel can be seen on the left and the individual pictures are in the Gallery.
Interesting to go through the whole process to understand what is required so that I can encourage other people to do the same.
Lots of interest in my picture of the Flying Scotsman steaming over Brunel's famous 'Sounding Arch' bridge on 21st May.
Over 8000 impressions on my Tweet on the day, picked up by ITV Meridian News and published in the Maidenhead Advertiser this week.
Think it would look good on your wall?
Then you can buy a copy here.
Or a better version taken a week later here.
Pleased with this rugby picture not only did it get full marks from tough judge Chris Palmer in a Maidenhead Camera Club competition but it was accepted into this year's Scottish International Salon along with the female triathlete on a bike picture.
Great day out in Portsmouth doing a photoshoot for Danziger watches.
Lovely bunch of models.
I have been having another go at some International Salons.
5 acceptances in the Photo Salon Kumanovo including a Zivko Janevski Ribbon for good old Lewis.
Nearly half way to enough for a AFIAP award.
Very pleased that my picture 'Art on the Street' won second prize and a cheque for £100 presented by local MP and Home Secretary Theresa May.
The picture is a bit of street photography of a woman walking past the mural at the back of Boville's Art shop in Maidenhead.
The title came from combining the idea of the artistic mural, street photography and the regular 'Art on the Street' art fair in Maidenhead.
(And before anyone else asks, no it wasn't posed and I have no idea who the woman is)
I uploaded by picture of a girl walking past Ian Davenport's "Poured Lines" in Southwark onto the 500px site.
A few of my pictures have had a moderate number of 'Likes' and 'Favourites' on there but this time it got a tremendous reception briefly making one of the top 50 Street photos on there out of many thousands.
Suddenly become one of my favourites too!
See it on 500px here
Very pleased to have an article about my London Monopoly project 'A Journey Around London' published in Advanced Photographer magazine this month.
Obviously only a tiny selection of the photographs used but the article describes what I learned by doing the project and how it changed and improved my photography.
Having plunged into the world of International Salons I have recently had 4 acceptances in the Bristol and Port Talbot Salons
The image "Morning Spider" (see below) was accepted in both with an Honourable Mention in Bristol, so it will be published in the Catalogue. When you see the other Hon Mentions in the Nature section it is in some amazing company.
My monochrome "Rainy Day in Trafalgar Square" (left) and the "Waiting for the Train" at King's Cross were the other acceptances.
20/20 and 3rd place in the Annual Visual Art Competition at Maidenhead Camera Club.
The work is inspired by Argentinean abstract artist Mario Agatiello. The 60's concrete blocks of the London College of Fashion windows are superimposed on the colourful façade of the Royal London Hospital bringing the two architectural times and places together.
The book of my London Monopoly project 'A Journey Around London' is now available from Blurb.
The project was inspired by the locations on the London Monopoly board. The photographs in the book are a mixture of the architecture, people and interesting details that can be found at each of the different places when you visit them today. The book covers each property or street on the Monopoly board including my interpretation of the Electric Company and the Water Works.
The book runs to 140 pages and is available as a standard landscape (10" x 8") starting at £34.99 or a large landscape (13"x 11") from £69.99.
PDF versions are £6.99 and £8.99 respectively.
Very pleased that my print "Morning Spider" won the Annual Wildlife Competition at Maidenhead Camera Club.
I look forward to handing myself the cup at the AGM!
I presented the results of my Monopoly project entitled "A Journey around London" at an evening at Maidenhead Camera Club earlier in November.
It was good to have a milestone to bring it all together and as far as I can tell everyone seemed to enjoy the evening.
The pictures in the Gallery show the pictures used plus a few others (but without the entertaining descriptions!)
A bit of an end of season bonus. I got to run the photography for the Tenerife Bluetrail.
The Ultra Bluetrail is a 94km mountain trail run going from coast to coat on Tenerife, going up to 3000m on mount Teide along the way. The fastest finisher did it in just over 11 hours whilst the slowest was nearly up to the 23 hour time limit.
I was at the start at midnight is Los Cristianos and then 13 hours on the finish line at Puerto de la Cruz.
Still a nice few days in the sun.
I got the opportunity to be the photographer at an interesting event The Berkshire Property Meet.
Full of several hundred budding property entrepreneurs.
The full results can be seen here.
Good time at the Maidenhead Camera Club AGM.
My photo of Lewis Jones scoring his first try for Maidenhead won the Chairman's prize of Image of the Year.
Also at the AGM in a moment of madness (mine and theirs) I was elected chairman of Maidenhead Camera Club.
Delighted that judge Amanda Wright chose my picture of details of the London College of Fashion as the overall winner in the final print competition of the season at Maidenhead Camera club.
She described it as reminding her of various contemporary artists' work. Wish I had made a note of who she mentioned as I could then claim they inspired me!
A couple of pictures in the Advertiser and one on the website from the away game at Newbury.
Is was dark and dismal and the floodlights at Newbury aren't very bright so lucky to get anything usable, mainly thanks to denoise software.
The game was equally dire with Maidenhead outplayed for most of the match and lucky to win with a last minute try.
More can be seen on the Maids' web gallery here.
One small picture in the Advertiser as they didn't send a snapper or reporter to a home match.
Maids dominated the first half but Buckingham came back in second, after Maids suffered a succession of yellow cards. Picture is Mike Virgo kicking the winning penalty, Maids winning 27-24

Can't make Marlow as away being a granddad.

Seven of my pictures from the Club Lotus Track day at Castle Combe were published in the July issue of Club Lotus News (circ 7600).
Just about the only track pictures from the short dry session of the day, which I spent taking pictures rather than going round the track!
Unfortunately the published pictures are a bit small but some of them can be seen on the Motor Sports page.
