Sport in Focus 2012

Competition

How do I enter?

The competition is now closed for entries but watch out for news of the book, exhibitions and the overall winners.

How will it work?

Take photos of any sport, anywhere, between now and late Spring 2012. Pick the best ones. Submit up to twelve to www.sportinfocus2012.co.uk with your name and some basic information. That's it. A panel of experts will pick the best ones to go into a book and an exhibition, which will be held in Maidenhead and Windsor in June 2012. The best ones will win prizes.

Who can take part?

Anyone, even if they don't live in the Royal Borough. Prizes will be restricted to amateur photographers from Windsor and Maidenhead, but pictures from anyone may get into the book and exhibitions.

Can I use photos I took in the past?

Only photos taken after 1 Apr 2011 will be allowed. So it's a great excuse to take some new ones!

What are the prizes?

The chosen pictures will be displayed in the exhibitions and published in the Sport in Focus 2012 project book. The overall winners will receive professionally printed and framed copies of the winning pictures plus there will some Olympic related prizes for the top pictures.

Who'll judge it?

A panel of independent people including professional photographers and sports people, who won't be able to see the names of the contributors.

What sort of photos should I take?

That's entirely up to you. "Capture the Olympic Spirit" in as original a way as you like.
We'll only be able to accept digital photos, so if you want to use film you'll need to get them scanned.

What are the rules?
